Appleby Fair 2006 'Sizzling in the Sun'
2006 will go down with the annals of Appleby Fair as remarkable for two things more than any other. One was the sizzling heat of the summer sun and the other was the record gathering of gypsies and horse dealers from every quarter of the globe.
Denise Anne has put together some of the sights and sounds in this film. Fiddle playing, accordion playing, and singing. All the usual river scenes, running the horses, some of the characters, wagons and all. The Appleby Fair Company tries to record the history and events in the ongoing story of the gypsy people.
