Dick Smith's Show Out Sunday 2006
Dick Smith's Spring Fair and Show Out day as Wombwell near Barnsley was a success from every viewpoint. Almost a mirror image of Peterborough, Dick had tremendous support from his many friends and associates. A good mix of yearlings and older horses, a fair with variety, superb quality and excellent husbandry. Again the fair was conducted with great humour a friendly atmosphere and plenty of crack. Trading was vigorous and there were a good few deals of horses and harness. Dick put up a show with some fine stock of his own and we make no apology for dwelling on some of these. It doesn't get any better than this. The gypsy cab has established itself internationally for its hybrid vigour, malleable temperament, ride and drive, medium draught and sheer good looks.
